About The Club:
The Milbrook Club is a family focused member owned private club in Greenwich, Connecticut with 310
active member families. The club is located within the gated community known as Milbrook and sits on 70+
acres. The club’s amenities include golf, tennis, aquatics and paddle tennis. The pool includes 8 swimming
lanes, a diving area, shallow end and separate wading pool. The pool facility consists of men and women’s
locker rooms as well as a snack bar.
Position Details:
● Daily oversight and supervision of the Milbrook Lions Swim Team, Mini Lions Pre-Team and coaching
staff. This will include scheduling, training and developing young swimmers and coaches, and providing
competitive swim meet preparation and general oversight of all swim team activities.
● Employment Dates: Exact dates to be determined, roughly June 3 through the County Swim Finals in
August (approximately 11 weeks).
● Providing our members with a high level of service is at the core of all our programs and offerings at
The Milbrook Club, we expect the same with our swim team.
● Bring enthusiasm, team spirit, and a love of swimming to engage the current team members and attract
new participants.
● You will be responsible for hiring and maintaining a staff of assistant swim coaches for swimming,
diving, water polo and synchro.
● In your role, you will provide the Aquatics Chair with the timely and pertinent information necessary to
keep her abreast of relevant team matters along with electronic communications to the team parents.
● You will work with the Aquatics Director on swim meet set-up and administration along with any areas
concerning safety and general conditions of the pool. Teamwork is essential to our success as an
organization.
Knowledge and Skills:
● Positive, upbeat attitude, sense of humor and the ability to work effectively with all age groups
● Excellent communicator
● A hands-on manager that is a team player
● Excellent people skills with ability to hire, train and lead staff
● Experience with pool systems and operations in private clubs
● Certified in CPR, First Aid and Life Saving (if not certified – must be before Memorial Day)
● Excellent computer skills, including extensive use of Microsoft Office programs

● Swim Lessons: You will be entitled to 80% of private swim lessons you teach.
● Swim clinic commission: 80% per participant, per clinic you teach.

You will report to Patrick Murphy, General Manager and work closely with the Aquatics Director and
Aquatics Chair along with the Pool Committee (as necessary).
